BIBLE TYPOLOGY
GENESIS
CH.1
Light appeared after the moving of the Spirit of God - II Cor.4:6
The light - Christ, the light of the world (Jn.1:4,5,9; 8:12; 9:5; 12:46; II Cor.4:4,6)
Life appears on the third day - Christ, the Resurrection and Life (Jn.11:25; I Cor. 15:4)
Dry land appeared just like with Noah’s Ark speaking of resurrection.
Also, the tree yielding fruit appears. Resurrection is the fruit of the tree of calvary.
The Sun - the son of God.
The Moon - type of the church. Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, the church should reflect the light of Christ. The moon rules the night just as the church to shine in this present darkness.
On the 5th day, creatures that live in the oceans are created. Possibly a type of the nations.
The stars - individual believers
The 7th day - The Sabbath. Points to Christ as our rest.
The seven days of creation could be a type of 7,000 years of human history. 6,000 years of man’s work, and 1,000 years of rest.
1:29: Apparently the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil did not have seeds. In 1:29 it says
“And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” But in 2:27 it says
“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
If Adam and Eve could eat of every fruit that yielded seed, yet they could not eat of the fruit from the forbidden tree, then apparently it did not contain seeds. The type here is that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil could not give life without seeds. It could not reproduce. It represents selfishness and death.
CH.2
Ge 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden…
The tree of life is a type of the cross, which is also called a tree.(I Pet.2:24)
The tree of life was “in the midst” of the Garden, and the cross was “in the midst”. John 19:18. See also Rev.7:17
Jn 19:18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst
Gen:2:9 and Rev.2:7 - The word Garden is used in the Genesis verse which was the paradise of God, while the word paradise is used in the revelation verse. Same phraseology used - “in the midst”. Also, The Genesis verse says the tree was good for food, while the Revelation verse says to those that overcome he will give to eat of the tree.
Ge 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Ge 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Adam is a type of Christ here who died (“fell asleep”) and as a result had the woman taken from his side, just as the church is the result of Christ’s death. Eve was the result of Adam receiving a wounded side and shedding blood. Christ’s side also opened up after he fell asleep. The woman is then presented to Adam after he awoke (resurrection).
Ch.3
cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee
Christ bore this curse with the crown of thorns he wore.
By a tree man fell, and by a tree man was redeemed.
they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons
This is a type of man’s self righteousness. Adam & Even sought to cover their shame. They sewed - a work of their own hands.
“Nature’s trees do not hide from God, but Calvary’s tree does.” Brief Notes on Genesis by Bultema p.14 The product of the tree(leaves) did not satisfy but the product of Calvary’s tree did.
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away
Isa. speaks of our righteousness as a fading leaf, just what Adam & Eve used to cover themselves.
Ge 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Here you have a type of Christ’s righteousness being provided to the sinner. Notice it was God’s work this time. God made the coats of skins.
Ch.4
The first occupation mentioned after the fall is Shepard. Abel was a type of Christ, the true Shepard (John 10:11). Cain was a farmer. He worked with that which was cursed.
Ge 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD
Cain brought a gift from the cursed ground.
Ge 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
Ge 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Ge 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
Ge 4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground
Just like Christ, Abel was dead yet speaketh. (Heb.11:4)
Because of the sacrifice Abel offered, the N.T. calls him righteous. (matt.23:35; Heb.11:4
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
CH.5
When Methuselah died, the flood came. Methuselah is a type of the longsuffering of God - I Pet.3:20
CH.6 - 9
Ge 6:14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood
The ark is a type of Christ, where believers go to avoid the judgment of God.
The ark was all of God. Noah did not know to build it until the Lord told him to. The Lord revealed everything about the Ark to Noah, just as the Holy Spirit reveals Christ to us.
“The material out of which the ark was built teaches an important lesson. The ark was made…out of wood. The typical truth which this fact is designed to teach us lies not on the surface, yet is one that is brought before us again and again both in the Word and in nature; the truth, that life comes out of death, that life can be secures only by sacrifice. Before the ark could be make, trees must be cut down. That which secures the life of Noah and his house was obtained by the death of the trees. We have a hint here, too, of our Lord’s humanity. The trees from which the wood of the ark was taken were a thing of the earth, reminding us of Isaiah’s description of Christ - ‘a root out of a dry ground’ (Isa.53:2) So Christ, who was the eternal Son of God must become the Son of man - part of that which, originally, was make out of the dust of the earth - and as such be cut down, or, in the language of prophecy, be ‘cut off’ (Dan.9:26), before a refuge could be provided for us.” Gleanings in Genesis by Arthur W Pink
There was only one door into the ark. See John 10:9; 14:6
Ge 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation
First time the invitation to “come” is used in scripture. The word “come” implies that the lord is in the ark. It does not say “go”.
The gospel hinted at here “Come unto me and I will give you rest”. The name Noah means rest.
The lord told Noah and all of his house to come. Same in Acts 16:31
And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights
Jesus was tempted 40 days and nights -
Being forty days tempted of the devil - luke 4:2
Noah’s ark is a type of Christ - a type of his death & resurrection as seen in I Pet.3:18-21
The ark came to rest on the 7th month on the 17th day of the month - the day of Christ’s resurrection. The water was dried from off the earth on the 601st year of Noah’s life on the 1st month on the 1st day of the month.

V.1 As Abraham left his father's house to go to a foregin land, Christ did the same.
CH.13
Ge 13:1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
CH.14
Ge 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God
Ge 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth
Melchizedek brought bread and wine which represents the Lord’s supper or Passover.
“possessor of heaven and earth” - Matt.28:18 - All power is given as a result of the body(bread) and blood(wine)
Ge 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand
As a result of the bread(body) and wine(blood) Christ delivered us from the enemy like Abraham was delivered (Col.2:15)
Melchizedek as a type of Christ:
1)Both were King and Priest in one
2)Both had no beginning or end
3)Both were King of Righteousness and King of Peace
4)Both were distinct from the Levitical priesthood
5)Both used bread and wine
Heb 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
Heb 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually
CH.15
Ge 15:9 And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.
Ge 15:10 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.
Ge 15:11 And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.
Ge 15:12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.
Ge 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Ge 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance
CH.16
Ge 16:6 But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face.
Ishmael is a type of the flesh. He is a result of the flesh, what man can produce.
CH.17
Ge 17:10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
Ge 17:11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
Ge 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
Circumcision has at least four levels of meaning:
First, it was a sign of the covenant that Israel had with God as to their distinctiveness in the earth.
Second, it looked forward to the fact that Christ would not come through the seed of man, but was virgin born. So, the cutting away of the foreskin represents death to the seed line of man, which occurred at the conception of Christ.
Third, circumcision represents death to what the flesh can produce. See N.T. references to circumcision
Fourth, it represents the cross. Col.2:11
Circumcision to be performed on the 8th day. What is the significance of this?
Ishmael, a type of the flesh, was circumcised in his 13th year.
CH.18
CH.19
CH.20
CH.21
Ge 21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
Ge 21:3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac
Isaac was born/conceived after the covenant of circumcision was given, this picturing the inability of the flesh but the power of the Spirit. .
Ge 21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
CH.22
Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
Abraham is a type of God the father who takes his only son whom he loves to offer Isaac, a type of Christ, as a sacrifice.
The land of Moriah is at Jerusalem - II Chron.3:1 the place of Jesus’ sacrifice.
Jesus and Isaac are the only two people in scripture referred to as “the only begotten son.
Jn 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son
Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his onlybegotten Son
Jn 3:35 The Fatherloveth the Son,
Ge 22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him
Christ was taken in the morning to be crucified.
Mt 27:1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death
There were two men who were with Abraham and Isaac just as there were two men(thieves) with Christ.
They took wood(the cross) with them.
Ge 22:4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off
Isaac was considered dead by his father for 3 days, just like Christ.
Also, they reached the place on the 3rd day, the day of resurrection. Abraham received Isaac back to life in type.
Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
Heb 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure
Ge 22:6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together
Isaac carried the wood to the place of sacrifice typifying Christ barring the cross.
Ge 22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.
The wood here again typifying the cross of wood.
Ge 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
The doctrine of substitution is revealed here with the ram being offered in place of Isaac.
As Christ, Isaac is an unresisting sacrifice.
CH.23
CH.24
Ge 24:3 And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
Ge 24:4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac
In Ch.22, we saw the death and resurrection of Isaac in type. In Ch.24, we now see the work of the Holy Spirit in type calling out a bride for Isaac.
The servant is a type of the holy spirit seeking a bride. Isaac is a type of Christ, the one who received the bride as a result of the Spirit’s work.
“for all the goods of his master were in his hand” - type of the Holy Spirit who comes with an earnest of the purchased possession, the gifts given to the early church.
“I will not eat, until I have told mine errand”
The servant’s one goal was to speak of Isaac, just like the Holy Spirit when he came to speak only of Christ.
Jn 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me
for he shall not speak of himself
Ge 24:36 And Sarah my master's wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath
Just like Isaac, Christ has been given all things from his father.
Jn 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given allthings into his hand
Ge 24:43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink
Rebekah, a type of the church is a virgin, just like the church is referred to as a virgin.
2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chastevirgin to Christ
CH.25
Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
Ge 25:24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
Ge 25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
Ge 25:26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them
This is the first time in the Bible the word red is used.
Refer to the “Bible Names Miracle” for discussion on the twins.
Esau is a type of Adam who gave up his inheritance which then passed to Christ.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau
Esau forfeited his birthright to Jacob. Adam forfeited his right to earth. Christ, the second Adam, received the birthright (firstborn) of the son of God.
CH.26
CH.27
Ge 27:25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank
CH.28
Ge 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it
Gen.28:18
And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it
The first time Jacob goes to Bethel he set up a pillar and poured oil on it. The second time, he erected a pillar and poured both oil and wine(drink offering) on it. (Gen. 35:14) The pillar typified Christ.
CH.29
Ge 29:10 And it came to pass, when Jacob saw Rachel the daughter of Laban his mother's brother, and the sheep of Laban his mother's brother, that Jacob went near, and rolled the stone from the well's mouth, and watered the flock of Laban his mother's brother.
Ge 29:11 And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept

Ch.34
And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.
Ge 34:25 And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males
Ge 31:44 Now therefore come thou, let us make a covenant, I and thou; and let it be for a witness between me and thee.
Ge 31:45 And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar.
Ge 31:46 And Jacob said unto his brethren, Gather stones; and they took stones, and made an heap: and they did eat there upon the heap.
Ge 31:47 And Laban called it Jegar-sahadutha: but Jacob called it Galeed.
Ge 31:48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;
Ge 31:49 And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.
Ge 31:50 If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.
Ge 31:51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee;
Ge 31:52 This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
Ge 31:53 The God of Abraham, and the God of Nahor, the God of their father, judge betwixt us. And Jacob sware by the fear of his father Isaac.
Ge 31:54 Then Jacob offered sacrifice upon the mount, and called his brethren to eat bread: and they did eat bread, and tarried all night in the mount
This heap of stones points to Calvary. There is a making of a covenant. There is peace made between two parties who were an enmity with each other. A mount is present. A sacrifice of blood was made. After the sacrifice there was an invitation made. Also, fellowship around broken bread the result of the shedding of blood.
Ge 35:16 And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
Ge 35:17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
Ge 35:18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.
Ge 35:19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Beth-lehem
Benjamin is called Benoni by his mother. Benoni means “son of my sorrow”. His father called him Benjamin which means “son of my right hand”.
A type of Christ: “man of sorrows” - Isa.53.3
“son of my right hand” - Ps. 110:1
Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.
Ge 37:3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours
As Joseph brought to his father the evil report of his brethren and was hated as a result, so Christ revealed the wickedness of his brethren and was hated (John 7:7)
As a dreamer, Joseph foretold the future, pre-figuring Christ who also foretold the future.
As Christ, Joseph was hated because of what he said and also because of who he claimed to be.
Joseph’s two dreams:
One related to the earth - sheaves in the field. Speaks of ruling on the earth.
One related to the heavens - sun, moon, and stars. Speaks of ruling in heaven.
Christ is here typified as ruler over heaven and earth.
There are two dreams and two occasions of his brethren bowing down - 42:9 & 43:28
Joseph goes to Shechem to seek his brethren. Shechem means fellowship. He does not find them there. He finds his brethren in Dothan which means law.
His brethren stript Joseph of his coat of many colors. The soldiers did this to Jesus as seen in John 19:23 Also, Gen.37:23 says they stript Joseph OUT OF HIS COAT. It appears that it was seamless. Only an opening at the top and bottom. The coat Jesus wore was also seamless as also seen in John 19:23.
Like Christ, Joseph came out of the pit alive.
A pit with no water - Zech.9:11 ?
Ch.40:
The Butler’s Dream:
V.9 - A Vine - type of Christ (John 15:1) “true vine”
V.10 - Three branches (v.12) - Three days - speaks of the day of resurrection.
V.11 The pressing of the grapes speaks of the blood of Christ - Deut.32:14 &
Matt.26:27,28
The Baker’s dream:
V.18 - Three baskets - three days - both type of the cross
V.19 - “Hang thee on a tree” Acts 5:30, 10:39, 13:29; Gal.3:13; I Pet.2:24
V.20 - “The third day” - Pharaohs birthday, the day of Christ’s resurrection was also considered a birthday - Acts 13:33 “This day have I begotten thee”.
The bread associated with the baker could be alluding to leaven which is a type of wickedness - I Cor. 5:8 and Matt.16:6
Christ also called the bread of life.
Ch. 41:
Pharaoh’s dreams of 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine. 7 years of famine could be a type of the tribulation
Joseph is rejected by his brethren and gets a gentile wife, a type of Christ being rejected by his brethren and taking out a gentile bride.
Joseph provides during the years of famine as Christ will during the tribulation.
V.43: “Bow the knee” - Phil.2:10; Isa. 45:23
Joseph had two names. Pharaoh named him Zaphnath-paaneah which means “the revealer of secrets”. Joseph means “adding to” or “increasing”. Christ is called Jesus and in Revelation he is also given a name. Rev.19:11,12
Ch.42:
V. 17 - Could this be Israel’s identification with the cross?
V.18 - “the third day, this do and live”
V.19, 24 - could Simeon be a type of Christ here?
Ch. 45:
Joseph reveals himself to his brethren. The first time Joseph’s brethren meet him they don’t recognize him. The 2nd time they see him they do. Joseph reveals himself. This speaks of Christ’s first and 2nd advents. Israel did not recognize their messiah the first time but they will when he returns the 2nd time.
Ch. 47
Joseph purchases all the land of Egypt and all of the people - type of Christ redeeming the world v.18-21
Ch. 49:
Ge 49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
Ps 80:1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste

chs. 5-7 . Sinai and the giving of Torah
Matthew 1 begins with a genealogy as does Genesis. Gen. 2:4 says "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth". Also, Gen. 5 lists a genealogy. Then you have Joseph, the dreamer, in Genesis and Matt. Like the Joseph in Genesis, the Joseph of Matt. takes his family into Egypt where they find food and safety.
After the story of the two dreamers named Joseph, we move to the Mosaic account in Exodus corresponding to Ch. 2 of Matt where Moses/Jesus as children are sought by a ruler to kill them. Then moving to Ch. 3 of Matt., you have the baptism of John, Israel was identified with John in water. This corresponds to the crossing of the Red Sea because in I Cor. 10:2 Paul says "all were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea".
Matt. 4, which takes us to the temptation of Christ in the wilderness. Most know the parallel to the story of Israel be tried in the wilderness of Sinai. At this time Moses appoints rulers for Israel and later in Matt. 4, Christ appoints the disciples. Moses then goes to the mountain to receive the Torah, just as Christ goes to a mountain to give the Beatitudes of Matt. 5-7.

Ge 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Ch.3
cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Ge 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee

Heb 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
Heb 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Ge 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
Ge 15:14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance

Ge 31:48 And Laban said, This heap is a witness between me and thee this day. Therefore was the name of it called Galeed;
Ge 31:51 And Laban said to Jacob, Behold this heap, and behold this pillar, which I have cast betwixt me and thee;
